Continuing the spotlight on Value resorts – All Star Music, Sports, and Movies
Resort Class: Value
Dining: Each resort has its own food court (quick service)
Location: Animal Kingdom Area
Closest Park: Animal Kingdom
Transportation Options: Bus only
The three All Star Resorts are best known for being the most inexpensive while having fun theming for families with young children. Named Sports, Movies, and Music each resort has a theme that matches its title. In terms of size and location, all resorts are comparable. If choosing one of the All Stat Resorts, go based on your familiy’s preference for theme. One difference in the three resorts is that All Star Music has a family suite that will sleep more than a family of four.
One of the drawbacks of this trio of resorts is bus service is often shared which can sometimes make for long lines, waits, and standing room only buses, especially for peak times. If getting a seat on the bus is important to you, then stay at All Star Movies as that stop is the first location.
- Most inexpensive of the All Star Resorts
- Proximity to Animal Kingdom
- Fun themes for families with younger to school age children
- Uncovered bus lines
- Only one dining option per resort
- Shared bus service between the three resorts
Having stayed at All Star Music, the walk from the back of the resort on a daily basis to fill mugs, get food, or get in line for buses is not my favorite thing. That being said, it fit the need and the budget for two young 20 somethings. We were happy to be in Disney World and the walk wasn’t the worst thing in the world, just somewhat inconvenient.
